C.S. Lewis once said
"What we want is not more little books about Christianity, but more little books by Christians on other subjects-with their Christianity latent."
Have you ever noticed it? The gap between good fiction and Christian fiction?
Have you noticed the trend in fiction towards worldliness? So many great, talented authors pushed into writing for Satan, whether for financial reasons or peer pressure, so that the only genres Christians have left to claim are romance and maybe a little dry history (no offense if you love history). Once, Fantasy belonged to the Christians. What is more fantastical than embracing a supernatural being and allowing Him to enter your heart and control your life?
It's been stolen from us, friends.
But that's not what you'll find here.
When I write, my goal is to write Fantasy. Fantastical events, creatures, relationships, fantastical struggles between good and evil. Fantastical love. Fanatical love. The kind of love that sacrifices itself for its enemy.
Can you think of a more compelling Enemies-To-Lovers tale than the one where Christ died for us while we were yet sinners?
I can't.
So it's the story I strive to tell.
